Status Wash Primer is a two-component product based on special synthetic resins, suitable for metal surfaces, especially aluminium, copper and zinc, as well as galvanised sheet metal. It improves paint adhesion on surfaces that are difficult to paint directly and provides anti-corrosion properties and water resistance.
Mix the two components at a ratio of 4:1 and thin the mixture by approximately 20% with LS-702 Thinner. Apply with a spray gun to a thoroughly cleaned surface, in a thin coat with a dry film thickness of 10–15 microns. It dries in 15–30 minutes, can be recoated after 6 hours and may then be covered with a suitable paint.
