The external antenna is a particularly useful accessory for controlling automation from a greater distance. It is suitable for a frequency of 433.92 MHz and comes with a coaxial cable (RG-58) of 2.5m length. The cable can be cut to the desired length and also has a metal bracket for mounting at the appropriate point.
It is installed when the receiver with the antenna needs to be in different locations for the automation to function correctly.
It is mainly installed outside metal shutters and metal overhead garage doors since their metal surface prevents the signal from going outside. Thus, the receiver, for protection and safety reasons, is placed inside, while the antenna is placed outside. Additionally, the installation of an antenna may be required for swing gate automations if the control panel is installed inside the building and the arms are outside at a great distance. In general, wherever there is a need to enhance the signal range, the external antenna is the sure solution.
