It requires a powerful brush cutter and cutting 2 links from each side so it can spin comfortably.
It destroys everything, even thick dry olive branches, and you only stop for gasoline.
When it comes in contact with stones, it shakes violently, but it does not wear out.
It marks cement and breaks tiles, while it destroys any plaster it comes into contact with.
It cuts at almost double the speed compared to a thick-good trimmer line on obviously the same machine.
In a field with stones and yards where I used to need two days and barely one package of trimmer line was enough, I finished in five hours using half the gasoline.
After A LOT of use and contact with stones, the outer link of the chain wears out and needs replacement, but a 6mm 'caliber' boat worker's chain fits without modification, so I won't need to buy the expensive original replacements.
For peace of mind, I also made new, solid pins that hold the chain to the head.
Overall, a very good choice for a powerful brush cutter...
