The Secret Society is a series of 15 novels by Enid Blyton that follows the adventures of siblings Peter and Janet, as well as Jack, Barbara, Pam, Colin, and George. Together they are ready to solve any mystery whenever needed. In this particular adventure, when the group decides to stargaze, they quickly get bored and decide to spy on the town. There, they see someone setting fire to a pile of hay. Will the Secret Society manage to save the warehouse?

In addition to the Secret Society novels, Enid Blyton has written six short stories based on the characters, which are published in the Secret Society's Short Story Collection. The stories are also available in individual volumes, divided into chapters, ideal for young readers. They are illustrated in full color by Tony Ross.
