Fishing reel from Shimano, suitable for spinning. It has 4 bearings that facilitate the movement of the main shaft. The reel drum rotates with a gear ratio of 5:1, which means that with one complete turn of the handle, the spool will make 5 rotations. The reel can hold 160m of fishing line with a thickness of 0.25mm, and if a thicker line is used, the capacity in length is reduced. It is made of carbon, a lightweight material with great strength and durability.

Even lighter than the previous FD model, with a redesigned, smaller body (G-Free Body), upgraded handle, and 3+1 bearings for smooth and gentle rotation. Additionally, Shimano's Propulsion Line Management technology ensures excellent line distribution, always in combination with the AR-C spool and Varispeed II technology, elements that contribute to achieving long casts.

Free Body

With the Free Body design, the center of gravity of the mechanism has been shifted closer to the rod. By moving the center of gravity of the mechanism closer to the base of the rod, fatigue that occurs after many hours of fishing is reduced, while retrieval becomes even more comfortable.

Propulsion Line Management

New spool lip design of the mechanism. Through thousands of tests and computer simulations, the Japanese company designed a new lip on the spools of Shimano mechanisms named Propulsion. The Propulsion design offers even greater casting distances and prevents line or thread tangling during casting or retrieval.

AR-C spool

The AR-C has a special design with a conical lip at the edge, allowing the line to unwind with less friction and in smaller coils for longer and more accurate casts. The AR-C spools reduce tangles and knots due to wind, especially when using braid, and are now available in almost all Shimano reels.

Varispeed

The excellent distribution of the line on the spool is the most essential feature for long and accurate casting. Shimano's revolutionary 'Varispeed' system consists of two gears. One is oval and the other is square. Only the highly specialized program created by Shimano can make the two gears work harmoniously. The result is the perfect parallel winding of the line.
