An exclusive and detailed collection of poems, stories, and broadcasts by Dylan Thomas, with a bold new appearance in honor of Dylan Thomas's centenary. A must-have for all literature enthusiasts.
This selection provides the perfect introduction to Dylan Thomas's work, from poems and broadcasts to his short stories. It highlights his numerous talents, as well as the changing moods and passions that inform his work.
Discovered at the age of 19 through a poetry competition in a London newspaper, Dylan Thomas became an object of immediate recognition and critique for his bold language and melodic verse. Thomas's poetry and prose embrace poignant memories of his childhood and a spiritual desire, from which emerges, not as the boisterous bohemian of his personal mythology, but as the careful and thoughtful artist of his poems, stories, and broadcasts.
