"Mind Platter" is a collection of reflections on life from the perspective of an educator, student, and someone who has experienced silence. It captures the experiences of a person who immigrated from Lebanon to Canada at the age of sixteen, narrating the feeling of being in a place where you don't belong. It is addressed to all who have felt ignored, abused, or misunderstood. "Mind Platter" contains about 200 single-page reflections capturing various aspects of our daily lives, such as love, friendship, pain, inspiration, respect, wholeness, motivation, integrity, honesty, and many more. The book is not just about the words, but also the meaning the reader will attribute to them. It belongs to all those whose paths have crossed with mine. My journey, with every story and detail, has shaped who I am today. It is hoped that this book will give a voice to those who need one, be a shoulder to cry on for those who need a listener, and inspire those who need a reminder of the strength they have in their lives.
