The third edition of the definitive collection of Chaucer's Supplementary Works is reissued with a new foreword by Christopher Cannon.

Since the publication of the second edition of F. N. Robinson's The Works of Geoffrey Chaucer in 1957, there has been a dramatic increase in the study of Chaucer.
