Carob Syrup from Crete - Organic
Unique quality carob syrup made from 100% organic Cretan carobs. Its taste resembles cocoa, it is extremely nutritious and contains more calcium than milk (350 mg/100 ml). At the same time, it is an ideal source of phosphorus, carbohydrates, vitamins A, B, and D, and contains 12.5% protein.
Among its effects is that it acts soothingly for the stomach. It is used for the preparation of dog treats. One of its lesser-known uses is as a honey substitute in vinaigrette sauces, making them more nutritious and with fewer calories.
This syrup comes from carob or locust bean, a leathery pod with a sweet taste of a pale yellow color.
