BOOK 1 IN A BREATHTAKING NEW SERIES SET IN ANCIENT EGYPT
In the heart of Egypt, under the watchful eyes of the Gods, a new power is rising.
In the city of Lahun, Hui lives a mesmerizing life. As the beloved son of a tender father and leader in the great city, his fate is set. But behind the beautiful facades, a malevolent threat is plotting. Hui's stepmother, the great witch Isetnofret, and his own brother Ken, conspire to overthrow Hui's father, condemning him and seizing power in the city.
Exiled and alone, Hui finds himself captive of a capable and powerful horde, the Hyksos. Determined to avenge his father's death and save his sister, Ipwet, Hui pledges allegiance to the enemies of Egypt. Through them, he learns the art of war, gains combat skills, and becomes a renowned warrior.
But soon Hui finds himself in an even greater battle - one for the very heart of Egypt. As the pieces begin to fall into place and the Gods enter the fray, Hui fights alongside Egyptian general Tano and the famed magician Taita. Now Hui must choose his path - will he become a hero in the old world or a ruler in a new kingdom?
