The fabric tore in moderate wind at the points of the ribs. Probably a problematic fabric with very low durability. First summer, after 1.5 months, used 7 times. Its quality does not match its price.

Tied down with three pegs in a gust, it flipped upside down, and the ribs bent at their base, while the other umbrellas on the beach stood up to the wind. I wonder about the positive reviews that led me to buy two umbrellas. What a pity.
The company that imports them (ΧΑΝΟΣ ΑΒΕΕ) I see gives usage instructions (it’s our fault), ignoring the neighboring brands that stood upright. Today I bought Hupa riviera. I’m giving away the maui ones.

Large umbrella with very good shade (blackout lining). With a sturdy metal pole and properly secured with two ropes, it withstood the strong winds in Naxos without any problem. I preferred it over the similar folding ones because the one-piece models are much sturdier and more stable in windy conditions.

Super beach umbrella, the blackout one is worth it compared to a conventional umbrella. There is a difference side by side with a friend's umbrella; the sun was coming through, while mine blocked it completely.

I have used it 6-7 times this year in Skyros and Evia with moderate wind and it didn't notice anything. I also use 2-3 pegs for extra hold.

I have had this specific umbrella for 2 years. I admit that it has not been used many times during this period, but it was recently used in very strong wind. I have combined it with a hammer-driven pole and stakes for support at all its points. My impression from the recent experience with strong wind is that the umbrella held up very well! In general, it provides fantastic shade, under the umbrella it is really cool, one of the few umbrellas under which your head does not get hot.

Very good umbrella, it makes amazing shade. The only mistake they made is that the little wire that connects the umbrella to the ribs is fake; it oxidized and broke with a little wind. Luckily, I’m handy and I’ll repair it with stainless steel wire so nothing happens to it. I bought it last summer and have used it 20 times.

Very good umbrella, combined with the golden fleece impact driver it doesn't move at all. And this blue color is beautiful!

Very good and high-quality construction!! I used it all summer on vacation (Lefkada and Thasos) together with a sturdy pole and no matter how much it was windy, there was no problem! I didn't need to buy a rope to tie it, but it gives you that option!
Its shade is large due to its size and nothing passes through thanks to the extra lining it has!

The best umbrella I have bought in the last 10 years. On the beaches of Paros, even with 6 Beaufort (always tied down), it didn't budge at all. Others were struggling to hold theirs with all their might, while this one stayed steady, giving you confidence that it won't go anywhere. Always used in combination with the impact pole

It provides excellent shade but you also need the impact pole for durability in strong wind conditions, its own pole is extremely light and cannot withstand any wind at all

Unfortunately, the umbrella is not stable in very windy conditions. The loops that are there to tie it with rope do not hold; the cover of the rib comes off and eventually the umbrella turns over, resulting in the rib cracking/breaking. Of course, no umbrella can withstand extreme weather, but I expected the loops would help protect it – which is not the case. The exact same thing happened on the same day to a friend of mine with the same umbrella. Be careful. In normal conditions, all are good

Excellent size, provides plenty of shaded space and also the special coating on the inner side of the umbrella offers extra coolness.

Positives: Excellent shade, good value for money
Negatives: You need to bring ropes if you want to take it with you to a beach with strong winds/an island and for it to withstand (if it actually withstands)

I do not recommend it. It has 2 flimsy wires that hold the fabric's connectors, and with light use (about 5 uses over 2 summers) and almost no wind, the wire broke and it fell apart in our hands. I will repair it as the fabric is good, but it is not worth it

After 3 years of considerable use, here are my thoughts:
Sturdy construction with reinforced ribs,
particularly resistant to wind, always with the proper use and knowledge, of course,
very good shade for 3 people.
ALWAYS use with an impact pole, not the one it comes with, which is decorative.
The specific one I am reviewing, as shown in the photos, does NOT have a tilt feature.

It creates a "thick" shade. However, it is susceptible to strong winds. Mine also turned upside down 2-3 times after some gusts, but the ribs did not break. With a little effort, I turned it back to normal and it still works perfectly. If it is tied with string from the loops, it doesn't budge. Its sensitivity to this issue is also due to the materials used to keep it lightweight. In the past, I had a (very expensive) hupa 2.20m which, in a gust of wind (AND tied from the loops with string!), was completely destroyed.

Very durable, especially if you tie 2-3 spokes from the special loop with a string to a rock. It blocks the sun 100% while also being quite beautiful and unique, since the beaches are now full of the silver version.

it's very light to carry. have in mind for strong wind you need to secure it with rope using the hooks/rings provided

The biggest scam in the history of umbrellas. With the slightest wind, it turns inside out and falls apart. The ribs are like frappe straws. When stressed, they peel into fibers. The previous Maui I had had much stronger ribs, it just kept breaking at the reclining mechanism.

It is a good umbrella in terms of shade. It is not windproof. Unsuitable for gusts of wind. Result: 0 beach days. It is ideal for no wind or maybe for 1-2-3 Beaufort. The fabric acts like a sail, and the umbrella becomes a glider despite the air vent. Everything else is fine. Bought at 52 euros, I should have bought a cheaper one.

I highly recommend it!! Very large, excellent shade (nothing really gets through) and very resistant to wind (without any stakes and without ropes, it has withstood very strong winds)!! It's worth the money!

Excellent umbrella, very good protection from the sun, cool and sturdy. I combined it with the Golden Fleece umbrella pole with a diameter of 32mm, blue, 113cm.

It is a very good umbrella. I have combined it with a sturdy pole and it is very easy to set up. I brought along two ropes to tie it down. I used it for 10 days on vacation and for 3 days there was wind that took the neighboring umbrellas, ours didn't budge at all. I got the umbrella without a tilt because I read that they have issues at that point and some break, I believe I made the right choice because this one doesn't have a weak point in the wind especially if it is tied down. We used it in the afternoon with a lot of sun and it protects from the rays, but you don't feel cold underneath it as I read in some comments.

This is the first time I am using this specific brand!!! Excellent, I have no words, sturdy, very good material quality, the shade really keeps you cool underneath!!!
