Expensive, functional, user-friendly, affordable laser distance meter. You don't need to read the manual, all the functions are clearly shown on the icons above the buttons and are activated with a simple or prolonged press. Its screen is clear and has backlight for dark spaces. Something that impresses you is the size of the sensor, which is huge compared to other laser distance meters I have seen (see attached photo).

As for its capabilities, it supports continuous measurement (displays the current value and the min/max values from the start of continuous measurement), displays the last 4 measurements together, calculates area and volume, applies the Pythagorean theorem for indirect distance measurement (very useful if you don't have physical access to various points in the space). Additionally, a very useful function is the ability to add or subtract distances. You measure one distance and then tell it to add or subtract the next measurement. This way, you can measure perimeters of spaces, as well as lengths of objects that are far away from you, e.g., the thickness of a beam, which is at a distance of several meters from you. It can store measurements in its memory and recall them whenever you want. The reference point of the measurement (the starting point) can be at the front or back of the instrument, depending on what is convenient. It supports various units of measurement (meters with three or two decimal places, inches with decimal or fractional expression, feet/inches). It has two small levels, perpendicular to each other (convenient for quick measurements). It uses 2 AAA batteries, which I consider very positive, as rechargeable ones often discharge quickly and/or break. With AAA batteries, you simply replace them and you're OK.

In terms of performance, I conducted many tests to evaluate the accuracy of the instrument, and I can say that it pleasantly surprised me. The measurements have very good repeatability and their accuracy is on the order of ±1 mm (the manual states ±2 mm). I did not expect such good performance from such an instrument at this price (I bought it for €38.50). Additionally, the manual states that it provides calibration capability within a range of ±9 mm, if any deviation is observed. Something I really liked is that the laser beam is very precise in terms of the point you are measuring. That is, you can target a very small object and measure the distance to it, as long as the laser dot is fully on the surface you are measuring. This way, you can measure at the edges of walls, in narrow corridors, closets, drawers, small protrusions, etc.

As for the maximum distance it can measure, the nominal value is 100 m, but this depends on how well the receiver can detect the laser, so outside in the sun, the maximum distance is dramatically reduced. In outdoor sunlight, I managed to measure up to 15 m, but without being able to see the laser dot. In the afternoon/evening when the laser dot is visible at a great distance, I comfortably measured up to 90 m. For long distances, it helps to keep the instrument stable (resting it on something stable) to minimize movement of the laser dot at the measurement point.

I have nothing else to mention. I think it is a reliable laser distance meter, at a very good price, and most importantly, with good accuracy and repeatability. As for its durability over time, I cannot have an opinion yet, time will tell. The first impressions are extremely positive, it seems to do what it promises, I am completely satisfied. I recommend it.

Very good measure and at a very reasonable price! It helps immensely when you want to take measurements that with a tape measure you would need two sets of hands or you would struggle anyway.
A tip if you don't use it often: don't trust the fake batteries in the package! After some time (maybe a little more) they leaked fluids and ruined the insides. I put in eneloop and it worked for 3-4 months until it gave up and stopped taking measurements. I will order the same again with my eyes closed.

09/22/24 update:
I bought this laser for the second time as I was absolutely satisfied. Yesterday, in less than a year of ownership, the same thing happened with the batteries again. I opened the cover and saw that it had leaked fluids. Fortunately, this time I managed to save the measure. I put in eneloop and it works again. In the previous one I had bought, I didn't have the same luck as it died.
So while the laser is highly recommended, I urge prospective buyers not to bother with the package batteries as they are garbage and will ruin your tool.
