very effective for deodorant. quite good for markers-pens, but not for all. I sprayed it on a garment very stained with permanent marker, without putting anything underneath as it says, and the whole garment got smeared. I couldn't clean it even with bleach or chlorine. Nevertheless, it softened it quite a bit.
