The Smart-UPS C 1500 Line-Interactive 1500VA 900W with 8 IEC Power Plugs by APC is a Tower UPS. It has 8 outlets of type IEC (such as those for computer power supplies) as well as an input and output for an ethernet cable, protecting devices connected to it, such as a router (provided their power is connected to a UPS or surge protector). Its operation is (VI) Line-Interactive which continuously adjusts the output voltage through an automatic voltage regulator, protecting against voltage fluctuations and power outages. The battery can last for 28 minutes with half load or 8 minutes with full load (when the connected devices draw half or maximum current that the UPS can provide respectively). It provides pure sine wave power which is suitable for sensitive devices (e.g. medical equipment) and is preferred for devices with active PFC protection (e.g. computers).

    It is one of the best UPSs I have had and I will buy APC Smart UPS again, but a larger one with more than 2,000VA.
    I have connected:
    1. Desktop computer.
    2. Laptop computer.
    3. Multifunction printer.
    4. Television.
    5. Sound system.
    6. (Small devices such as router, tablet chargers, mobile phones, and others).
    I change the batteries every year because we have power outages every week, ranging from seconds to hours...
    It has saved many computers from voltage drops and surges.
    The power in my area fluctuates between 210 volts in the morning and 240 volts in the evening.

    For the past two and a half years, I have had my main PC connected to it with the monitor. It has saved me several times as there are frequent voltage drops and power outages in my area. In normal computer operation, it has a battery life of 40 to 60 minutes. It is quiet but bulky and quite heavy (approximately 18 Kg).

    For 8 years, a set of batteries and not even mom's. I had power when others didn't even have candles!!! After 9 years of continuous operation, it stopped "seeing" the batteries. The repair is as good as new.
