Description

This study addresses one of the most prominent issues in the history of legal philosophy. It aims to provide a comprehensive presentation of theories surrounding the "mystery" of natural law and the position of the human person within it, in the context of a dual delineation, on one hand against the modern theory of natural law and the conception of the person as a subject of rights, and on the other hand against the revivals of natural law in our era and the liberal reinterpretation of classical natural law.

Specifically, the work is organized into four chapters focusing on the theory of classical natural law, justice as the field of "particular" justice, human rights within Thomistic legal theory, and the revival of natural law.

In an understandable manner, with concise language and clear structure, this work addresses complex theoretical issues regarding natural law, while successfully highlighting its necessity, the timelessness of these debates, and the question of returning to natural law and its renaissance in contemporary philosophy.
