Sookie is starting to adjust to the presence of all kinds of supernatural beings - but she has her limits. She wants to get over the betrayal by Bill, her longtime vampire lover, and get used to her new relationship with the sexy shapeshifter Quinn. But instead, she finds herself at a planned vampire summit, a destination for every powerful player of the undead, as a "geographical locator" for Sophie-Anne Leclerq, the queen of the Louisiana vampires.
