The Habotest HT812A cable tester checks network and telephone cables with RJ45, RJ12, and RJ11 connectors. It detects open circuits, short circuits, and incorrect wire order, and also checks shielding. FAST and SLOW modes allow the results to be displayed by LED indicators at a faster or slower rate.

The detachable Remote unit allows you to test cables with their two ends in different locations. Its foldable design makes it easy to carry, and the device tests both new and already-installed cables. It is powered by two AAA batteries and features automatic shut-off and a low-battery indicator.
