I bought two for two laptops. I installed a dual band access point, and none of the computers supported it. This little USB does the job. Quick installation, with an exe inside the USB, but without automatic recognition by Windows drivers. I disabled the default adapter of the computers. The speed is quite good. With a 100Mbps connection, I get 70-90 download with the 5GHz wifi. It's incredible compared to the 10-20 I had before due to crowded 2.4GHz channels. The ping is the same as before. As a negative, I would mention the fluctuation in speed. For example, it can temporarily drop from 90 to 50 and then go back up in seconds. Of course, I haven't determined if it's a problem with the adapter or the access point. In summary, if you have a computer that doesn't support 5GHz wifi and you don't want to fill your house with channels and cables, it's a value-for-money solution.
P.S.: After extensive study and testing, I have concluded that the fluctuation in speed was a device issue. Specifically, it's not fluctuation but momentary disconnection (about 1 every hour).

Εγκατάσταση γρήγορη, με exe που έχει μέσα στο usb, αλλά χωρίς αυτόματη αναγνώριση από windows drivers. Απενεργοποίησα τον default αντάπτορα των υπολογιστών. Η ταχύτητα είναι αρκετά καλή. Σε 100αρα σύνδεση πιάνω με το wifi στα 5ghz 70-90 κατέβασμα. Από τα 10-20 λόγω φορτωμένων καναλιών 2.4Ghz που είχα πριν, είναι απίστευτο. Το ping είναι ίδιο με πριν. Σαν αρνητικό θα έλεγα την αυξομείωση στην ταχύτητα. Δηλαδή από 90 μπορεί να πέσει πρόσκαιρα στα 50 και να ανέβει πάλι σε δευτερόλεπτα. Βέβαια, δεν έχω καθορίσει αν είναι πρόβλημα του αντάπτορα ή του access point.
Συνοψίζοντας αν έχετε υπολογιστή που δεν υποστηρίζει 5ghz wifi, και δε θέλετε να γεμίσετε το σπίτι με κανάλια και καλώδια, είναι vfm λύση.
Υ.Γ.: Μετά από αρκετή μελέτη και δοκιμές, έχω καταλήξει στο συμπέρασμα πως η αυκομοίωση στην ταχύτητα ήταν θέμα της συσκευής. Συγκεκριμένα δεν πρόκειται για αυκομοίωση, αλλά για στιγμαία αποσύνδεση (περίπου 1 κάθε ώρα).

The installation process is very poor in my opinion because instead of being recognized by Windows and installing itself, it has something like another partition that gives you a setup.exe, which makes it probably impossible to install it on Linux. However, for general use on Windows, it is good, the speeds are good, and it reaches 5GHz as promised. Nevertheless, this particular adapter is NOT for gaming because it does not provide a stable ping.

Κατά άλλα για γενική χρήση σε windows είναι καλός, οι ταχύτητες είναι καλές και πιάνει 5GHz όπως υπόσχεται. Παρόλα αυτά ο συγκεκριμένος αντάπτορας ΔΕΝ είναι για gaming γιατί δεν δίνει σταθερό ping.

I installed it in my htpc, which is 2 meters away from the switch, with just a hallway in between, and I didn't want to run a cable for aesthetic reasons. The switch provides 50Mbps, and I get a solid 10Mbps on the htpc without any obstacles in between. At least it has never disconnected...
Σε htpc το έβαλα που έχει απόσταση 2 μέτρα από το switch, απλά μεσολαβούσε διάδρομος και δεν ήθελα να βάλω καλώδιο για αισθητικούς λόγους. Από το switch βγαίνουν 50Mbps και στο htpc πιάνω 10 χωρίς κανένα εμπόδιο ανάμεσα. Τουλάχιστον δεν έχει αποσυνδεθεί ποτέ...
Fast installation by downloading the drivers from dlink (be careful to download the drivers for the correct hardware revision, mine was the C version), within 2 minutes the computer recognized it and the indicator LED turned on.
Connected to the 5GHz band of my modem, I now have ~150mbps (meaning 70+mbps download/upload maximum communication with my modem) and I can make use of the 50mbps VDSL via wifi.
I won't comment on the range because my modem is simply 2 meters away without any obstacles. However, I wouldn't expect miracles from the small dlink USB. I imagine those who get it don't expect it to improve their range.
Note: in Windows 10, specifically in the control panel--->network and internet--->network connections, I still saw, in addition to the dlink and my laptop's wifi connection. I disabled it as a precaution.
Ταχυτατη εγκατασταση κατεβαζοντας τους drivers απο τη dlink (προσοχη να κατεβασετε τους drivers για το σωστο hardware revision, το δικο μου ηταν το C), μεσα σε 2 λεπτα ο υπολογιστης το ειδα οπου και αναψε το ενδεικτικο led.
Συνδεόμενος στη 5ghz μπαντα του modem μου πλεον εχω ~150mbps (δηλαδη 70+mbps download/upload μεγιστη επικοινωνια με το modem μου) και μπορω να αξιοποιησω την 50αρα vdsl μεσω wifi.
Περι εμβελειας δεν θα σχολιασω γιατι πολυ απλα το modem μου ειναι 2 μετρα μακρια χωρις να μεσολαβει δομικο υλικο. Δεν θα περιμενα θαυματα ομως απο το μικρο usb της dlink. Φανταζομαι οσοι το παιρνουν δεν περιμενουν να τους βελτιωσει την εμβελεια.
Σημειωση: στα win10 και συγκεκριμενα στο control panel--->network and internet--->network connections συνεχιζα να βλεπω περα απο το dlink και τη wifi συνδεση του λαπτοπ μου. Την εκανα disable προληπτικά.
I bought this product because I saw very positive reviews.. I have 50mbps at home.. through the adapter I get 39mbps but in games my ping goes up a lot even though I have full signal..
The distance from the modem is very short but I can't use a cable... I don't know what causes all this lag.. I go up to 600 to 900 Ms..

Η απόσταση από το μόντεμ είναι πολύ μικρή αλλά δεν μπορώ να χρησιμοποιήσω καλώδιο... Δεν ξέρω που οφείλεται όλο αυτό το lag.. ανεβάζω 600 με 900 Ms..

Perfect. It is worth much more than its price. I have been using it for about a month. I downloaded the latest drivers. On a 200 Mbps line, it gives me up to 60 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 200 Mbps on 5 GHz (measured with Okla's Speedtest), with the computer at a distance of 5m from the router. At a distance of about 12m and with the interference of two walls, on my mobile, still using Speedtest, it shows me 200 Mbps. So far, no interruptions.

Σε 200άρα γραμμή μου δίνει μέχρι 60 Mbs στα 2.4 GHz και 200 Mbs στα 5 GHz (μέτρηση με το Speedtest της Okla), με τον υπολογιστή σε απόσταση από το router στα 5m. Σε απόσταση περίπου 12m και με την παρεμβολή δύο τοίχων, στο κινητό, πάντα με το Speedest, μου δείχνει πάλι 200 Mbs. Μέχρι τώρα καμία διακοπή.
I bought it for an old Dell 630 Laptop that I have at home. Recently, I upgraded my internet connection to a 50 Mbps plan and, after measuring, I found out that the WiFi connection of various devices and computers had extremely low speeds, reaching only 16-17 Mbps, compared to the 47-49 Mbps I was getting with an Ethernet cable. When I switched the router to 5GHz, the difference was huge, resulting in almost the same speeds as wired, around 46-48 Mbps. However, the Dell didn't have a built-in antenna to "see" the 5GHz frequency, so I bought this USB "antenna" and I don't regret it. The laptop transformed into a turbocharged machine. The speeds it achieves are like being connected to LAN, without interruptions, fluctuations, and without any connection issues. An excellent product at an amazing price.
Το αγόρασα για ένα παλιό Laptop Dell 630 που εχω στο σπίτι. Πρόσφατα έκανα αναβάθμιση στην γραμμή του internet με μια 50αρα και κάνοντας μετρήσεις, διαπίστωσα ότι η WiFi σύνδεση διαφόρων συσκευών και υπολογιστών είχε τραγικά χαμηλή ταχύτητα μέχρι και 16 -17, σε σχέση με τα 47 - 49 που έπιαναν με καλώδιο ethernet. Όταν έκανα switch στον Router στα 5GHz, η διαφορά ήταν τεράστια με αποτέλεσμα να πιάνω σχεδόν τις ίδιες ταχύτητες με ενσύρματο, δηλαδή 46 - 48. Το Dell όμως δεν είχε πανω του κεραία που να "βλέπει" 5GHz, έτσι αγόρασα αυτή την USB "κεραία" και δεν το μετάνοιωσα. Το Laptop μεταμορφώθηκε σε turbo.
Οι ταχύτητες που πιάνει, είναι σαν να είναι συνδεδεμένο στο LAN, χωρίς διακοπές, μεταβολές και χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα κατα τη διάρκεια συνδεσης. Εξαιρετικό προιον σε τρομερή τιμή.

Το αγόρασα για ένα παλιό Laptop Dell 630 που εχω στο σπίτι. Πρόσφατα έκανα αναβάθμιση στην γραμμή του internet με μια 50αρα και κάνοντας μετρήσεις, διαπίστωσα ότι η WiFi σύνδεση διαφόρων συσκευών και υπολογιστών είχε τραγικά χαμηλή ταχύτητα μέχρι και 16 -17, σε σχέση με τα 47 - 49 που έπιαναν με καλώδιο ethernet. Όταν έκανα switch στον Router στα 5GHz, η διαφορά ήταν τεράστια με αποτέλεσμα να πιάνω σχεδόν τις ίδιες ταχύτητες με ενσύρματο, δηλαδή 46 - 48. Το Dell όμως δεν είχε πανω του κεραία που να "βλέπει" 5GHz, έτσι αγόρασα αυτή την USB "κεραία" και δεν το μετάνοιωσα. Το Laptop μεταμορφώθηκε σε turbo.
Οι ταχύτητες που πιάνει, είναι σαν να είναι συνδεδεμένο στο LAN, χωρίς διακοπές, μεταβολές και χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα κατα τη διάρκεια συνδεσης. Εξαιρετικό προιον σε τρομερή τιμή.

I bought two for two laptops. I installed a dual band access point, and none of the computers supported it. This little USB does the job. Quick installation, with an exe inside the USB, but without automatic recognition by Windows drivers. I disabled the default adapter of the computers. The speed is quite good. With a 100Mbps connection, I get 70-90 download with the 5GHz wifi. It's incredible compared to the 10-20 I had before due to crowded 2.4GHz channels. The ping is the same as before. As a negative, I would mention the fluctuation in speed. For example, it can temporarily drop from 90 to 50 and then go back up in seconds. Of course, I haven't determined if it's a problem with the adapter or the access point. In summary, if you have a computer that doesn't support 5GHz wifi and you don't want to fill your house with channels and cables, it's a value-for-money solution.
P.S.: After extensive study and testing, I have concluded that the fluctuation in speed was a device issue. Specifically, it's not fluctuation but momentary disconnection (about 1 every hour).
Αγόρασα δύο για δύο laptop. Εγκατέστησα access point dual band, και κανένας υπολογιστής δεν το υποστήριζε. Αυτό το μικρό usb κάνει τη δουλειά. Εγκατάσταση γρήγορη, με exe που έχει μέσα στο usb, αλλά χωρίς αυτόματη αναγνώριση από windows drivers. Απενεργοποίησα τον default αντάπτορα των υπολογιστών. Η ταχύτητα είναι αρκετά καλή. Σε 100αρα σύνδεση πιάνω με το wifi στα 5ghz 70-90 κατέβασμα. Από τα 10-20 λόγω φορτωμένων καναλιών 2.4Ghz που είχα πριν, είναι απίστευτο. Το ping είναι ίδιο με πριν. Σαν αρνητικό θα έλεγα την αυξομείωση στην ταχύτητα. Δηλαδή από 90 μπορεί να πέσει πρόσκαιρα στα 50 και να ανέβει πάλι σε δευτερόλεπτα. Βέβαια, δεν έχω καθορίσει αν είναι πρόβλημα του αντάπτορα ή του access point.
Συνοψίζοντας αν έχετε υπολογιστή που δεν υποστηρίζει 5ghz wifi, και δε θέλετε να γεμίσετε το σπίτι με κανάλια και καλώδια, είναι vfm λύση.
Υ.Γ.: Μετά από αρκετή μελέτη και δοκιμές, έχω καταλήξει στο συμπέρασμα πως η αυκομοίωση στην ταχύτητα ήταν θέμα της συσκευής. Συγκεκριμένα δεν πρόκειται για αυκομοίωση, αλλά για στιγμαία αποσύνδεση (περίπου 1 κάθε ώρα).
It was tested on win10. The installation process is very poor in my opinion because instead of being recognized by Windows and installing itself, it has something like another partition that gives you a setup.exe, which makes it probably impossible to install it on Linux. However, for general use on Windows, it is good, the speeds are good, and it reaches 5GHz as promised. Nevertheless, this particular adapter is NOT for gaming because it does not provide a stable ping.
Δοκιμάστηκε σε win10. Ο τρόπος εγκατάστασης του είναι πολύ κακός κατά την γνώμη μου διότι αντί να το αναγνωρίζουν τα windows και κάνουν την εγκατάσταση μόνα τους, έχει κάτι σαν άλλο partition που σου δίνει ένα setup.exe, κατι που κάνει ΜΑΛΛΟΝ αδύνατη την εγκατάσταση του σε linux. Κατά άλλα για γενική χρήση σε windows είναι καλός, οι ταχύτητες είναι καλές και πιάνει 5GHz όπως υπόσχεται. Παρόλα αυτά ο συγκεκριμένος αντάπτορας ΔΕΝ είναι για gaming γιατί δεν δίνει σταθερό ping.

I installed it in my htpc, which is 2 meters away from the switch, with just a hallway in between, and I didn't want to run a cable for aesthetic reasons. The switch provides 50Mbps, and I get a solid 10Mbps on the htpc without any obstacles in between. At least it has never disconnected...
Σε htpc το έβαλα που έχει απόσταση 2 μέτρα από το switch, απλά μεσολαβούσε διάδρομος και δεν ήθελα να βάλω καλώδιο για αισθητικούς λόγους. Από το switch βγαίνουν 50Mbps και στο htpc πιάνω 10 χωρίς κανένα εμπόδιο ανάμεσα. Τουλάχιστον δεν έχει αποσυνδεθεί ποτέ...
