This work represents the culmination of a journey that began with the book published in 2002, titled: Ideological Currents, Political Parties, and Educational Reform (1950-65), and continued with the book published in 2005, titled: The Greek Educational Policy and the United Europe (1957-1981). The time period examined starts from the 1950s and extends to the present day. The focus of all three books is the same. It concerns the deciphering of the goals of a technocratic educational policy, which viewed and continues to view education as a investment and the individual as a future worker. At the same time, it examines Greek educational policy within the framework of European decisions and international circumstances as well as the social implications of these policies.
