Players are representatives of the Galactic Council, sent to Earth to build space stations to observe and possibly interact with humanity.
Players start the game with nine ships and a station node. These ships function as action spaces that players use to gather resources, explore nearby planets, and build their stations. Rounds are fast and direct. We either take a ship action or receive income. In many games, players start with a small resource production engine that they make bigger.
In Space Station Phoenix, players start with the best production engine they will ever have and gradually break it apart. As the game progresses, their actions become more efficient, but the number of ways to perform these actions starts to decrease.
Space Station Phoenix also features deep replayability with millions of possible starting positions and combinations of station modules.
