The Jelonet petrolatum gauze is sterile and made of loosely woven cotton fabric with a paraffin base. It softens and protects the wound, is breathable to air and excretions. It can be easily cut into various sizes and does not fray.
Usage:
- Treatment of wounds, especially for maintaining the elasticity of the surface and edges of the wound, e.g., for large abrasions or cuts.
- Ideal for burns or scalds, in plastic and aesthetic surgery.
- Covering the donor and recipient areas in skin transplants.
- Retention of partial thickness skin grafts.
- Indicated in dermatology for patients with sensitive skin or drug sensitivities.
