Quite a good grinder with a wide range but I would have preferred to get one just for espresso.
The main problem I have is that it doesn't output all the amount of coffee I put in since I grind each dose separately.

I bought this coffee grinder on 27.11.23 and I am satisfied with the grinding for my Krups coffee machine. I grind it at level 10 and it struggles a bit to release the coffee, but Krups has a difference compared to a cheaper one I had before, the coffee was much better. I don't know about the cleaning yet, I will come back to that. The coffee that I grind retains about -1 gram, which is a negligible amount for me.

It holds a lot of coffee inside. As a result, when you are in the process of searching for the grind, you will have to open and clean it at each different grind setting. Otherwise, it will give you ground coffee from different cuts. Due to the retention it has.
The coffee retention it has can be from 3g to 5g per grind, out of the 17g of beans that I cut.
It is quite a noisy grinder.
As for the construction, it is of good quality. But what's the use if I have to deal with the grinder all day long. Either to clean it or to remove the 3-4g of coffee it holds. You waste a lot of coffee if you measure it in a 200g bag of beans that it will grind. Overall, I have not been satisfied. Because every time you open it to clean it or remove those 3-4g of coffee it holds, it loses its setting. As a result, you will have to remember where you had it before opening it. Once you close it again, you will have to let it work a bit to get the setting back. TIRESOME GRINDER.

I used it for the first time today and I have a Gaggia Classic machine. At the finest setting, it didn't even produce a drop of coffee, so I adjusted it slightly before the middle setting and the result is very good. For its price, it is a good choice and it makes a difference from pre-ground coffee. It's worth trying if someone is in the phase

For espresso, I would like double the steps for better control. It retains about one dose of coffee inside. Overall, a very good machine for its price. 2025: It works just fine still, most of the time I grind at No 10-11 now, since the blades have worn down a bit.

For its price, it is good but there are some problems:

+It is of good quality construction for its price.
+The coffee intake container is 500g.

-Minor adjustments can be made on the grind size scale on this grinder, but it must be empty of coffee otherwise you cannot do it.
-There is at least 3-4g retention inside the grinder's spout, so when you change the grind size, you have to remove those grams to have the correct result.

I used it for about 7 years and it was an tireless machine.
It has a wide range for grinding, easy to clean, quite effective and does not stain the surrounding area with coffee.
Obviously, it cannot be compared to the precision and repeatability of very expensive grinders, but for someone who does not want or cannot spend a fortune, it is a great choice.
The only downside for me is that there is quite a bit of coffee left after grinding and you have to account for more grams of beans each time and either have cleaned it from the previous use or throw away the first grams of the ground coffee.
*I only had a problem with one coffee so far (Passalacqua Harem), due to its oiliness. It required cleaning after each grind for a double espresso (~20gr).

I have had it for almost 2 and a half years. I think that for the price I bought it (€126), it is worth every penny and more. The only downside is that it retains a lot of coffee during grinding inside the mill, so the quantity that comes out afterwards is not the same as what you initially weighed.

  • I used it for the first time today and I have a Gaggia Classic machine. At the finest setting, it didn't even produce a drop of coffee, so I adjusted it slightly before the middle setting and the result is very good. For its price, it is a good choice and it makes a difference from pre-ground coffee. It's worth trying if someone is in the phase

  • For espresso, I would like double the steps for better control. It retains about one dose of coffee inside. Overall, a very good machine for its price. 2025: It works just fine still, most of the time I grind at No 10-11 now, since the blades have worn down a bit.
