Nuovo Progetto italiano Junior 1 is the first of the 3 volumes of a modern Italian course for foreign students aged 11 to 16.

The course tells a charming story, presented through a graphic novel and a sit-com, featuring 4 Italian young people with whom students can identify as they share the same interests, face the same problems, and live similar experiences. All of this is presented with realism and humor, respecting the pace and needs of youth learning. In each volume, the 4 protagonists of the story are called to complete a mission: in the first volume, they must save the dogs of a shelter.
