The whole process is a bit of a hassle. The litter box with the sand is heavy. If you want to empty the entire contents into a bag, it is easy for it to slip and fill the floor with sand. When you remove the top tray, the base is completely dirty (obviously), so you don't want to place it on your floor. Overall, I regret the purchase and I think a larger one with a simple scoop would be much better.
