It is not necessary today to remind how inseparable the teaching of the language is from the social reality to which this language applies.
Unlike the fundamental learning of the French language, provided during the first two years of university studies, the audience addressed by this book is no longer in a situation of learning French but of linguistic refinement; whether it is to continue studies in a French or Francophone higher education institution, to use this new knowledge for professional purposes, or simply to improve one's command of the language in various everyday situations.
In any case, the present effort, entitled "French for International Relations: a Hexagonal View on Greece," attempts to meet these different criteria. The material to be exploited covers a period from January 1, 2000, to mid-December 2010 and is subdivided into two thematic axes: the first addresses both Greece's entry into the Eurozone and the public debt crisis, a crisis that has led the government to resort to a rescue plan.
The second thematic axis examines Hellenic diplomatic priorities in both a regional and an international context.
