The shelf is exactly like in the photo, very beautiful and the wood looks of high quality. It includes two brackets to mount it on the wall, which I didn't use personally because it seemed quite sturdy to me. The packaging is half the height of the shelf because it is split in the middle. The assembly instructions have numbered parts for all components (you don't have to search for which screw, for example, looks like the one in the photo), it is very easy to assemble if you follow them to the letter (which pleasantly surprised me), and it also includes extra screws in the package! Also (apart from the brackets that mount it to the wall which require a hammer) you don't need any other tools for assembly besides those provided inside.
