The Program of Individual and Social Skills for Kindergarten "Steps for Life" (written by N. Kourmousi, edited by V. Kourtras), for which you received approval from the Directorate of Primary Education Studies of the Ministry of Education (158920/G1, 14.2.2013) as well as from the Institute of Educational Policy (8/13-3-2013), is now available in a new, two-volume format with revised and expanded content, published by Sokoli-Kouledaki Editions.
Specifically, in the first volume, the "Educator's Handbook," in addition to improvements regarding the theoretical background of Prevention Programs, the following have been added:
- in the section "Guidelines for the implementation of the 'Steps for Life' Program," the subsection "Proposals for addressing problematic behaviors"
- in Section D, two new letters for parents titled "What do we do with stress" and "What do we do to avoid being influenced by the media."
In the second volume, the Lesson Guide, in addition to additions and ideas for the integration of topics into the Analytical Program, the following lessons have been added, directly related to the letters included in the first volume:
- Lesson 38 "What do we do with stress"
- Lesson 42 "What do we do to avoid being influenced by the media"
Furthermore, the volume has been enriched with a new section titled "Guidelines for Processing Sensitive Topics," which refers to Sexual Education and Loss Management in Kindergarten.
