The adidas Stan Smith is a classic tennis shoe known for its white and green color. It is widely considered one of the most iconic silhouettes of all time. It was first released in the early 1960s and initially did not even bear the name Stan Smith, but was known as Robert Haillet, after the French tennis player. When Haillet retired from tennis, adidas decided it needed a successor. The American tennis player Stan Smith was then proposed, and the rest is history.
