Berill Descaling Liquid for Steam Irons 250ml

Limescale buildup in the steam iron can cause significant damage, as the limescale corrodes the metal, resulting in the device short-circuiting. The berill® iron cleaner removes limescale and releases the steam, keeping your steam iron like new, offering a pleasant lavender scent.

SUITABLE FOR: Steam irons and steam presses.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

  • Pour half a coffee cup (50 ml) of berill® descaling solution into a glass or plastic container and add another coffee cup (100ml) of water.
  • Place the iron in an upright position and carefully pour the solution into the device.
  • Heat the iron at the "STEAM" setting for no more than 3 minutes.
  • Unplug the steam iron and place it in a horizontal position on a rack with a plastic basin underneath.
  • Let it drain freely for 30 minutes.
  • Periodically press the steam button until the water tank empties of the solution.
  • Rinse the interior of the steam iron with plenty of water.
  • If using the berill® cleaner in a steam press, pour the solution into the boiler and follow the same procedure.
  • If your device has accumulated a lot of limescale, you may need to repeat the process.

Even if you use deionized water, frequent cleaning of the steam iron is necessary, as the damage caused by limescale can be irreversible.

It smells very bad, it is a toxic product and the smell lingers in the house. I have rinsed it many times but the smell persists. I do not recommend it and I will not buy it again.
