The ECEF 71000 drill bit is a long HSS bit for drilling metal, with a cylindrical shank. It is made of HSS 4341 steel and complies with DIN 340.

It has a helix angle of 15°–25° and a point angle of 118°. Suitable for iron, mild steel, soft alloys and non-ferrous metals with a tensile strength of R ≤ 650 N/mm². When using a hand drill, the hammer function must be switched off; low speed and high torque are recommended. A drill press is preferable, and cutting oil may be used if required.
