The Nikon Nikkor 18-140mm f3.5-5.6G ED VR is a versatile zoom lens with wide-angle and telephoto capabilities. Its zoom magnification, which reaches 7.8x, provides a highly useful range of 18-140mm (27-210mm in DX), covering a wide spectrum of photographic needs. Thus, it can be used as the only lens you carry on an excursion, without the extra weight of multiple lenses.
For greater control over image focus, the lens allows for instant switching to manual focus without the photographer needing to take their eye off the subject. The minimum focusing distance is 45cm, and the maximum aperture of f/3.5 produces a shallow depth of field with pleasant detail blur in out-of-focus areas of the image.
The lens features ED technology that prevents unwanted reflections and ensures excellent color reproduction, as well as VR technology that allows for more stable shots without the use of a tripod or other support. Additional advantages include its durable construction for challenging weather conditions and silent autofocus (SWM).
