The family is precious in any form it takes. The book: Jimmy the Gorilla is very lazy. He is bored to move even his little finger. One day, a little orphan monkey named Fogo appears in the jungle. He seeks shelter, care, and love. However, none of the gorilla families can take him in. Fogo bursts into tears and feels desperate, until “I will take care of you!” decisively states Jimmy. Everyone then bursts out laughing because they know how lazy he is. And yet... as time passes, Jimmy proves to be a worthy dad to the beautiful family he created. But what was it that changed him so much?

The series: In order to ensure that children have a healthy social life based on effective relationships, they must cultivate empathy, the ability to put themselves in others' shoes, to understand and feel things in the same way another person experiences them. The author: Yoland Tsoroni-Georgiadi has a degree from the Faculty of Law, the Pedagogical Academy, and the Pedagogical Department of the University of Athens and has undergone further education at the Marasli Teaching Institute. She worked for many years in public education, writes articles for educational journals, is an active member of the Women's Literary Society, and has published many books for children, novels for adults, and studies on folklore.
