The novella "The Swiss Pocket Knife" by P. Thanos, who tirelessly continues to write articles and books at the age of 83, covers in a few chapters the story of a family of three and a shadow over half a century: from the civil war to "socialism," but not in chronological order.

The young man, following the family tradition, from a rebellious youth who hates the wealthy, ends up, unwillingly becoming a resistance fighter, thanks to a court martial of the junta that wrapped him in a piece of paper and sent him to Boguati. The mother, living with the open wound of her brother executed during the civil war, loses her mind in old age and, full of bitterness, speaks ill of her child and her deceased husband in an endless rant.

As for her executed brother, he describes the night before his execution, his life in illegality and prisons, and pretends to play one last prank on the system...

Now, only the author knows how he managed to weave all these dramatic and somewhat ridiculous stories and incidents with only a Swiss pocket knife, and he recounts it.
