I am talking about the genuine charger that came in the package of my wife's Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 and my Redmi Note 13. The phones were purchased in early 2024 (from a major electronics chain) and both included the same charger in the package.
The charger (in both phones) had charging problems from the beginning. One would charge quickly, while the other would charge extremely slowly. Many times, it would lose the charge in the middle and start constant reconnecting with the device - with all the implications this has for our new device batteries. The breaking point came just a while ago when my wife went to charge her phone. As soon as she plugged in the connector to the device, there was a "pop" sound and immediately a burnt smell. The charger burned out in no time, but at least it seems that the phone's port was saved as it charges normally with another charger. However, there is also a burning smell there, so we'll see how it goes.
I am completely disappointed with this charger that I am reviewing, we take care of it as if it were our own eyes so that they don't collect anything on their tiny contacts. However, they showed from the beginning, in both of our new devices (coincidence??), that they have a manufacturing problem and are possibly dangerous for the user. It surprises me greatly that there is no mention of this on the internet though. Is it possible that we are the only ones who encountered these issues?

Μιλάω για τον γνήσιο που ήρθε στη συσκευασία της Xiaomi με το Redmi Note 12 της γυναίκας μου και το Redmi Note 13 το δικό μου. Κινητά που αγοράστηκαν αρχές του 2024 (από μεγάλη αλυσίδα ηλεκτρικών ειδών) και περιείχαν τον ίδιο φορτιστή στο πακέτο δηλαδή.
Ο φορτιστής (και στα δύο κινητά) παρουσίασε από την αρχή προβλήματα με τη φόρτιση. Τη μια φόρτιζε γρήγορα, την άλλη τραγικά αργά, πολλές φορές έχανε την φόρτιση στη μέση και άρχιζε συνεχείς επανασυνδέσεις με τη συσκευή - με ότι συνεπάγεται αυτό για τις καινούργιες μπαταρίες των συσκευών μας. Ο κόμπος έφτασε στο χτένι μόλις πριν λίγο που πήγε η γυναίκα μου να φορτίσει το 12άρι της. Μόλις κούμπωσε το βύσμα στη συσκευή ακούστηκε ένα "τσαφ" και μύρισε αμέσως το καμμένο. Ο φορτιστής κάηκε σε χρόνο dt αλλά τουλάχιστον δείχνει ότι σώθηκε η θύρα του κινητού αφού φορτίζει κανονικά με άλλο φορτιστή. Μυρίζει όμως και εκείνη κάψιμο, θα δείξει πως θα πάει.
Μένω πλήρως απογοητευμένος από αυτόν τον φορτιστή που υπογράφω, τον (τους) προσέχουμε σαν τα μάτια μας ώστε να μη μαζέψουν το οτιδήποτε στις μικροσκοπικές επαφές τους. Όμως έδειξαν από την αρχή, και στις δύο καινούργιες μας συσκευές (τυχαίο;; ) ότι έχουν πρόβλημα κατασκευαστικό και πιθανότατα επικίνδυνο για τον χρήστη. Μου κάνει τρομερή εντύπωση που δεν αναφέρεται κάτι στο διαδίκτυο πάντως. Είναι δυνατόν να έπεσαν οι μοναδικοί προβληματικοί σε εμάς;

Although the box seemed a bit fake and not authentic Xiaomi, the content appears genuine! Since I had an authentic Xiaomi in the past along with my phone and there are small differences, I don't know what's going on in terms of authenticity (at least in the part that I received!). Anyway, it charges normally and with turbo charge/fast charging, so no problems so far! Now, if it explodes along the way, it will show...

I might be a bit tough on the product. But in my surprise it really does not support turbo charging (only quick/fast charging), and this is due to the accompanying cable, not the charger.
Providing a cable whose price is almost meaningless that would enable fully the charging, I would consider as an no brainer. Especially when it is an official Xiaomi charger and product, not a third party one.
I might be a bit tough on the product. But in my surprise it really does not support turbo charging (only quick/fast charging), and this is due to the accompanying cable, not the charger.

In Xiaomi mobile, the charger supports fast charging and Turbo Charge (charging) unlike the cable that accompanies it.
If someone tries to charge Xiaomi mobile with this charger and the accompanying cable in fast charging or turbo charge, they will not succeed and the problem is not the charger but the cable which is faulty (I don't know if the cable that came with the charger I received happened to be faulty).
I tried another cable and the problem was solved.

Δοκίμασα άλλο καλώδιο και το πρόβλημα λύθηκε.
