Bud Sagendorf is the longest-serving creator of the Popeye strip. He created hundreds of stories featuring the beloved sailor, both in comic form and as daily and Sunday newspaper strips, and he introduced many new characters to the universe of our favorite sailor. In Greece, we first encountered him through the magazines published by Dragoons that were available at kiosks from 1973 until the mid-'90s. In the series Classic Popeye Stories, we present these stories in their original, authentic form. This is our own production series, aimed at letting us read the adventures of the famous sailor without any cuts, just as they were published in America. The classic Popeye by Bud Sagendorf returns, and for the first time in Greece, we will read his stories in their original form!
