The Ubiquiti LocoM5 antenna is an outdoor wireless access point and network bridge operating in the 5 GHz band, suitable for creating wireless bridges. It supports airMAX technology and the TDMA protocol for point-to-multipoint networks, with an emphasis on scalability, capacity and low latency. The airOS software supports wireless networking, bridging and routing settings, as well as network management.

The airView feature provides real-time spectrum analysis with waterfall and waveform views to help identify sources of interference and plan the network. The antenna supports Station, Station WDS and access point modes, while Power over Ethernet (PoE) makes installation easier without special tools.
