Chivas Regal Royal Salute was created by the Chivas Brothers, the producers of Chivas Regal, to celebrate the coronation ceremony of Queen Elizabeth in 1953. Recent awards such as Best Blended Scotch at the International Spirits Challenge and Best Spirit Blended Scotch in 2002 from the Beverage Testing Institute confirm that Royal Salute is one of the global leaders in Scotch whisky.
