The discussion of the topic: "Pontic music as an extension of Byzantine music, pedagogical dimension" aims to: a) give it meaning as an idiomatic free dynamic language of the soul and a value of life, and b) highlight this cultural element as an art and traditional tool in which the personal and collectively ideological and cultural character of the people is condensed.

Music is the extension of the voice of the people which is expressed, communicates, mingles, and ultimately intertwines in a revelatory way in every social and cultural action of an eternal collective and creative mobility.

The existence and use of traditional musical art as a language constitutes a source and factor of identity strengthening, in our case, of the identity of the Greeks of Pontus.
