During the time of the Civil War between the North and South in America, five men, trying to escape with a hot air balloon from the besieged Richmond, end up stranded on a deserted island in the Pacific Ocean.

There, they take advantage of whatever nature offers and survive thanks to their hard work, knowledge, and ingenuity. Even when they encounter obstacles, they always manage to overcome them.

As if they have some mysterious protector on the island, who always helps them but remains unseen. Will they discover him eventually?

The French novelist Jules Verne is considered the father of science fiction, as he predicted many technological achievements of modern science at a time when none of what he wrote existed. The Mysterious Island was published in 1874-1875 and is one of his most famous works.
