It offers a plethora of high-quality features and technologies, such as a powerful VRM design for stable power supply to the processor, advanced cooling systems, a rich selection of communication ports, high-resolution audio, advanced network functions, and extensive customization capabilities through Asus Aura Sync RGB technology. Additionally, the presence of built-in Wi-Fi 6E provides high-speed wireless connectivity and reliable wireless connection to Wi-Fi networks.

Overall, this motherboard is aimed at demanding users who are looking for high-performance solutions for gaming and other applications that require top-level performance. It is suitable for use with the latest AMD Ryzen processors of the X670 series and offers reliable and stable operation, excellent overclocking capabilities, and extensive customization options for users seeking the best possible gaming performance and experience.

PCIE 5.0

Lightning-fast storage is at your disposal with two PCIE 5.0 M.2 slots and two PCIE 4.0 M.2 slots. Boost speeds even further, create a mirrored backup, or both. NVMe and SATA RAID configurations (0/1/10) are available through AMD RAID Xpert2. PCIe 5.0 support also extends to the top x16 expansion slot, which includes SafeSlot for supporting heavy graphics cards and Q-release for easy upgrades.

DDR5 Power

For those who want to surpass standard DDR5 speeds, the Strix X670E-F is prepared and ready for enthusiast-grade kits thanks to the extensive support of AMD EXtended Profiles for Overclocking (EXPO). Seasoned veterans can further tune performance through the extensive array of settings in the UEFI.

AEMP

The ASUS Enhanced Memory Profile (AEMP) is an exclusive firmware feature for memory modules with PMIC restrictions. AEMP automatically detects the memory chips in your kit and then presents optimized frequency, timing, and voltage profiles that you can effortlessly apply to unleash performance.

VRM Cooling

  • Two thick VRM heatsinks are connected by a heat pipe, sharing cooling capacity between the VRMs and providing ample surface area and mass to handle the power needs of high-performance AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors.
  • High-quality thermal pads are used between the power stages and heatsinks, helping to improve heat transfer and reduce VRM operating temperatures.

M.2 Cooling

  • The heatsinks cover every slot to keep the built-in NVME SSDs at optimal temperatures for stable performance and reliability.
  • An integrated plate in the M.2_1 slot helps ensure maximum performance of high-performance PCIe 5.0 drives, even when airflow is restricted.

Processor and case cooling

  • A dedicated pair of PWM/DC fan headers provides easy access to CPU coolers.
  • A dedicated PWM/DC header connects standalone water cooling setups.
  • Each header supports automatic detection of PWM or DC fans.

Network Connection

  • The built-in WiFi 6E technology leverages the newly available spectrum in the 6 GHz band to provide up to seven 160 MHz channels for ultra-fast performance and better performance in dense wireless environments.
  • The antenna features two integrated transmitters and receivers to enable faster transmission speeds and supports the 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands.
  • The built-in Intel 2.5 Gbps Ethernet boosts your wired connection, with speeds 2.5 times faster than standard Ethernet connections for rapid file transfers, low-latency gaming, and high-resolution video streaming.

ROG SupremeFX

ROG SupremeFX is a unique combination of hardware and software that provides superior sound. The SupremeFX application of the ROG Strix X670E-F Gaming WiFi features the ALC4080 codec to increase playback resolution from 192 kHz to 384 kHz on all channels. The front panel output is transmitted through an ultra-integrated Savitech amplifier capable of driving a wide variety of gaming headsets and high-fidelity headphones.

The ROG Strix X670E-F is the quietest in the series, perfectly matching most of the system's hardware. The jet-black board and corresponding metal heatsinks give it an overall melancholic aesthetic, while a touch of RGB lighting on the I/O cover gives you the option to blend into the shadows or announce your presence.

Aura Sync

ROG Strix motherboards feature ASUS Aura technology, which allows full control of lighting and a variety of presets for both the built-in RGB LEDs and third-party accessories. The effects can easily be synchronized with compatible ROG graphics cards, monitors, keyboards, and mice to give your setup a unified look.

Armoury Crate

Armoury Crate is a software utility designed to give you centralized control of supported gaming products, making it easy to configure your system’s appearance and atmosphere. From a single intuitive interface, Armoury Crate helps you customize RGB lighting and effects for compatible devices and synchronize them with Aura Sync to create a unified lighting system throughout your setup. Additionally, Armoury Crate’s Fan Xpert4 tool provides comprehensive control over fans, water pumps, and all-in-one (AIO) coolers.

A reliable motherboard with many features.
The price clearly does not justify all that it offers in terms of features.
I was impressed by the wireless network card as it connects with very low ms.

Fully compatible with 2 different RAM sticks, it immediately read the XMP profile and they work perfectly with the AMD RYZEN 7950X and the DEFAULT, OC MODE, but even in ECONOMY mode with the CPU profile at 105w from the 225w FULL LOAD.

Performance dropped to 92%-94% in CINEBENCH compared to DEFAULT.
    However, temperatures dropped from 90c - 94c degrees to just 70c - 75c.

Many available ports, the RGB is nice too, but the main thing is the BIOS management.
Easy and understandable with endless options for all subsystems.

The big difference is the DDR5 which gave a performance boost and clearly the GEN 5.0 lanes with M2 drives where I combined SAMSUNG 980 PRO 512GB and KINGSTON RAGE FURY 1TB.

*update: 31/12/2025 crazy problem with incompatibility with RAM. Be careful to check the models because the chips on the DDR5 "first batch" have changed a lot and on many models the motherboard doesn't even boot.
