Description

This processor offers excellent performance and is ideal for demanding applications and gaming. Based on its operating frequency of 3.7GHz, it is designed to compete with high computational workload demands. When needed, the maximum frequency can reach 3.9GHz, allowing smooth operation during intensive applications.

The Ivy Bridge-E architecture incorporates modern technologies for improved speed and performance. It features four physical cores, which allow multitasking, while the eight virtual cores (threads) ensure you can handle more tasks concurrently without delays.

The 10MB cache provides fast access to frequently used data, enhancing the overall speed of the processor. Note that the thermal design power (TDP) of this model is 130W, which requires an appropriate cooler for efficient heat management.

This processor comes boxed, usually including the manufacturer's cooler and fan, to ensure temperatures remain at safe levels during operation.

  • 4 cores with 8 threads for advanced parallel execution.
  • Base frequency 3.7GHz with maximum frequency up to 3.9GHz.
  • 10MB cache for faster data access.
  • Thermal Design Power (TDP) 130W, requires adequate cooling.
  • Compatible with LGA 2011 socket.

When I decided to build a system for my needs and after a lot of research (internet search, reading many reviews from different sources), I settled on this processor for two reasons:

Firstly, because it is efficient in multitasking (it doesn't struggle when doing image editing, video, audio, and simultaneously doing something else like internet, games, etc.)

Secondly, because it is economical compared to the hexa-core processors but still very efficient even though it has 4 cores.

    Conclusion:
It is excellent for multitasking and for gamers, it soars with a proper graphics card. It can also be easily overclocked, although I haven't done it because I don't need it at the moment. I highly recommend it.
