Amazing lens for its price. Nice sharpness, the 13mm (about 21mm in full frame) is super for wide-angle shots on a crop body. Bright and very high-quality construction. I also have the 33mm / 1.4 and the 85mm / 1.8 so I knew what to expect.

    Important:
I have the Nikon Z50 and after installing the latest firmware update (2.6), I had a bit of trouble because the camera didn't read the lens correctly. The AF didn't work at all and the F stop wasn't displayed either. However, when I bought the lens, I took a look at the Viltrox website and found an update, which I downloaded. As soon as I saw things weren't working, I connected the lens to the computer and did the update. Then everything worked. So don't panic if you have a similar issue. The update is very easy. When the lens is connected, it appears as a hard drive on the computer and you just drag and drop the file provided by Viltrox. The rest is done automatically. Sorry for the long message... happy shooting!

This review is about the mount: Sony E

Heavy and high-quality lens with a 67mm lens diameter.
Attached to Sony VG 30, a6300, a7iii and performs exceptionally well at f2 and above.
At f1.4, in low light conditions, it will necessarily have vignetting and slight color deviation depending on the lighting scenario.
It has good control over flares and contrast, with some elements playing within the image (reflections, etc.).
The autofocus is very good up to EV -1.5, below that it is difficult to find focus. In moving scenarios with good lighting, you can capture 3 to 4 photos in a burst (up to 20).
For video, it is excellent with settings in AFC, AFS, etc.
The aperture ring is nice and smooth without clicks, but relatively stiff as it is new.
In a video flow of over 3 hours with changing lighting, it did not lose focus but slightly shifted forward and backward if there are depths and multiple scenes.
The focusing distance is approximately 20 cm with the focusing ring being relatively loose, of course, without linear function for preset pull and throw positions for demanding video users.
The lens rendering is excellent in color reproduction and almost always alternates with the Sony 35mm f1.8 FE lens, forming an unbeatable duo, but they have slight color deviations with the same camera.
