I have been using this machine for 12 days now, coming from the Wahl Senior as my basic hair cutting machine, having of course tried the JRL and the Gamma X Ergo on other colleagues. This specific Babyliss machine is very close to the Wahl Senior in terms of both results and design. The design and ergonomics of this machine have nothing to do with the previous Babyliss model, which is like a flashlight, and personally, I find this good because the previous Babyliss machine (flashlight) did not suit me at all when I tried it.

Now, onto the positives. The build quality of the new Babyliss Lo Pro FX and the design are very impressive for me personally. As I mentioned earlier, the performance in fading and general hair cutting is very close to that of the Wahl Senior. Essentially, I did not see any difference in the results it gave, apart from the battery life, which is longer in the Babyliss, and the fact that the blade, being made of graphite, heats up slightly less than the Wahl.

One small difference it has with the Wahl is the lever, which has a click, and this is also a matter of personal preference.

To my surprise, it does not come with the premium guards from Babyliss, but with the regular plastic ones from 0.5 to 6. The downside is that I have not found them in any other store in Greece, so I hope they will bring them in the future. However, the premium guards from Wahl fit, so I use those.

Nevertheless, I believe that for the price it asks and as a new machine, it should have included them with the machine. It also does not come with a charging stand, which is why I gave it 4 stars for the guards.

Overall, the machine is amazing for me and will be the main machine that I will use from now on. One thing I noticed now that I have had it for a longer time is that it requires more oiling compared to other machines, otherwise it makes a noise when the lever is fully open.
