Description

At a glance:

✔The dehumidifier Meaco DD8L with zeolite (desiccant) technology offers effective dehumidification without a compressor, cleaner air thanks to the built-in ionizer and antibacterial filter, and stable humidity with the smart humidistat.

✔Warm air contributes to heating the space, while the Auto Restart function ensures uninterrupted operation.

✔Ideal for spaces up to 110 sq.m., it is the solution for a comfortable and healthy environment.

How does it work?

The Meaco DD8L is a desiccant dehumidifier that utilizes zeolite technology. This natural material has the amazing ability to absorb moisture from the air, converting it into water that is collected in the tank or drained away. Forget noisy compressors; here dehumidification is done silently and effectively!

Clean Air with Ionizer and Antibacterial Filter

The Meaco DD8L not only dehumidifies but also cleans the air in your space! It features a built-in ionizer for a fresh atmosphere and an antibacterial dust filter that traps microorganisms. This way, the air returning to the room is not only dry but also filtered and clean! Don't forget to clean the filter regularly (not with water).

Smart Humidity Control with Hygrostat

With the built-in humidistat of the Meaco DD8L, controlling humidity is a breeze! Just like a thermostat for temperature, it monitors the relative humidity and instructs the dehumidifier when to turn on and off. You can choose between four settings: Maximum (40% humidity), Normal (50% - the ideal!), Minimum (60%), and Laundry (35% for quick clothes drying).

Warm Air for Space Heating

The Meaco DD8L is not just a dehumidifier, it is also your secret ally for heating! Thanks to the built-in thermal resistance, the dry air it releases into the room is about 20°C warmer than the room air. This means it contributes to an increase in temperature by 1-2°C and can reduce heating costs by up to 20%!

Why choose it

  • Zeolite Technology (Desiccant): Effective dehumidification without a compressor, for silent operation.
  • Air Ionizer: For cleaner and more refreshing air.
  • Antibacterial Filter: Protects against dust and microorganisms, ensuring a healthy atmosphere.
  • Built-in Hygrostat: Easy humidity control with 4 settings (Maximum, Normal, Minimum, Laundry).
  • Warm Air: Contributes to heating the room and reduces heating costs.
  • Auto Restart: Continuous operation even after a power outage, with the settings you had set.
  • Economical Operation: Reduces humidity while saving energy at the same time.
  • Durable Construction: Many users report long-lasting durability and reliability.

Users said

    Excellent performance.
The smell left the closets and the air in the house warmed up.
Minimal use of radiators and air conditioners now, and at night because of the zeolite it is silent and not disturbing at all. We also had one with a compressor but at night we couldn't use it because of the noise.
One of our best purchases. Don't think twice if you haven't bought it yet.

After a short period of time, it started leaking water not only from the container but also from the base, onto the floor... I haven't identified what the problem is...

It's good, I've had it for several years, and I feel that it changes the temperature of the room as soon as it pulls the moisture, but I have a problem with the container; it doesn't always come out easily as if it's magnetized, and with the power cord at the base, it prevents the container from coming out and doesn't make good contact. Someone specialized needs to take a look at it.

We had it for over 7 years and it worked excellently with occasional use. The very positive aspect is that it produced warm air. The only negative is the noise and the lack of programming capability. Unfortunately, it broke down now and the dealership asked me for over €170. So it is being retired.

I have had it for 5 years plus and I am very satisfied.
It works great and is more than enough for a 110 square meter house.
...It just needs to be operated smartly, for example, when humidity is created at the source, such as in the bathroom while cooking or ironing with a press.
In the bathroom, when it is working, no steam cloud is created and with a 1-hour operation under the towels, the bathroom is narrower than before.
Smart operation and you will see miracles in the house.
Last year, I opened it for cleaning the fan and dust, which it needed, and it works like new.
The only thing it lacks is perhaps a better air suction filter.
Finally, the odor that some people complain about was faint when it was new the first year and even less the second year.
    Now, not at all.

It worked flawlessly in the basement of a multi-storey building for 3 years, day and night, and occasionally for another 5 years. Connected to the external plumbing and with a 20-liter tank... Now it constantly flashes a fault, I fixed it, cleaned it, but one day it started working again! Good luck figuring out how to repair it and what's causing the problem... UPDATE: FINALLY, AFTER SENDING IT TO THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE SANI HELLAS, IT WAS REPAIRED AT A COST OF 50€. IT HAD A BURNED MOTOR AND NEEDED GENERAL CLEANING...

I have 4 dehumidifiers, 2 for myself and two for my son, for about 7 years and I bought them for about €350.
One of them burned out the motor in 4 years, and it was replaced at the dealership for €15!!! (I couldn't believe it when I received it).
The others, including this one, are still going strong.
I have them running from the start of the cold season until spring.
They haven't smelled at all so far.
    I highly recommend it.

Finally, we got warm!!! During the day, I turned it on for about 4 hours (2+2) and it raised the room temperature, so we didn't need to use the radiator at all throughout the day. I sleep with the dehumidifier on, the noise doesn't bother me and it doesn't smell like anything. While we had 20 degrees in the house and we were feeling cold, now we still have 20 degrees but the house feels very warm!!!

Stay away! The smell of zeolite during operation is incredibly annoying, maybe even dangerous. And what they say about it going away after a few hours of use is a fairy tale. It smells just as bad after several years of use. Today I withdrew it for recycling.

I can't remember how many years I've had it. Beast!!! And with three kids who have thrown everything into the fan!!! We just turn it upside down, things fall out, and it keeps going. My only comment is this: it would need a mesh and not a grill for ventilation. Other than that, as I said, it's a beast. An important detail for those who are not fully informed. Dehumidifiers with a compressor blow cold air, while those with zeolite naturally blow warm air (it's not because the machine heats up), so essentially it's two in one. It dehumidifies and heats like a fan heater.

Still going strong. At some point, it started leaking water from underneath. I cleaned the little tube that drips water into the tank because it had wet dust and was blocked. Works great.

Excellent zeolite dehumidifier that brings the desired humidity with low operating costs and in a low temperature environment. It is not silent, but not very annoying either, very good build quality, small water collection tank, clothes drying function which is also the most energy-consuming process but it is effective. A reliable choice for a 70 square meter house in Athens conditions.

I had it for 5 years, I admit that it did the job, in the fourth year it started leaking water on the floor, I thought okay something will get fixed, luckily the weather cleared up quickly and I fixed it. This year it started again with the same issues and it had a bad smell. I took it to the dealership for service and they told me that it needs a motor replacement and zeolite and it costs 170 euros and that it's not worth repairing. I definitely do not recommend buying it again, because I took great care of it, blew air to prevent dust and dirt from accumulating, and if you look at it closely, it only worked for three winters.

I have bought two. They do a great job and also heat the space a little. However, the problem that they do not mention is that the zeolite has an expiration date of about five years depending on the usage (one of mine lasted six years) with an expensive repair cost (100 euros for zeolite replacement and we'll see about the resistance). Hence the three stars. Maybe it's better for someone to go for a dehumidifier with a compressor and a 10-year warranty that some brands offer.

With two years of use (6 months each year on the beach), it broke. I took it for service (60€) and a circuit board replacement, and it lasted for another 6 months. Now I'm thinking... Should I get it serviced again (I find it difficult to buy a new one) or should I go for a different one?

5/5! I have had it for 2 years, and I have been very satisfied! It absorbs all the moisture, resulting in an increase in room temperature! Especially for autumn with the first drizzles, so you don't have to use the air conditioning, it is ideal. I recommend it blindly.

Unfortunately, it broke after 5 years of use (5 months per year, approximately 8 hours per day), with a repair cost that is not worth it. I don't know if he made his money back, but in my opinion, No. However, while it was working, it did a good job.

I had it for 1 year, it worked day and night in a 2-story house. It kept the humidity low but never stopped. It should have another setting at 55%. Its settings are 40, 50, 60%. So if you set it to 50% to stop, it has to go to 46-47, which is very difficult if you have it in a very large space like me. It has a 2-liter container, I would prefer 3. It requires frequent cleaning of the filter for maximum performance. I gave it to my parents. This year, when I needed it again because another one I had showed issues, it proved once again that it can handle anything and easily lowers the humidity. It is expensive and consumes a lot of electricity. The 2-year warranty is unacceptable.

Purchased on 1/17. In these three years, it goes for repair every year. The first year, it burned the motor, the second year it burned the resistor, and this year the thermostat fuse. Fortunately, the first two were under warranty, but this year it cost me 30 euros. When it works, it does a good job, but what's the point when it keeps breaking down? I don't think it's worth the money it costs. Personally, I don't recommend it to anyone.

Like for so many others, it gave up after 4 years for me as well. Searching on the internet, I found out that these have an expiration date of 2-4 years. Cheap, Chinese construction with a label change.
For as long as it worked, it was okay, but it is designed not to last more than 2-4 years. Either it burns out the fuses or the motor that turns the fan. Do a little research before you buy it and you will understand.

It does its job 100%. The disadvantages are as follows: the noise, the smell of zeolite, and the slightly high price considering it is not a device intended for a lifetime.

  • Excellent performance.

  • It's good, I've had it for several years, and I feel that it changes the temperature of the room as soon as it pulls the moisture, but I have a problem with the container; it doesn't always come out easily as if it's magnetized, and with the power cord at the base, it prevents the container from coming out and doesn't make good contact. Someone specialized needs to take a look at it.
