Description

Description

The Vengeance DDR5 AMD EXPO RAM is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in video and image editing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

This particular series of Vengeance DDR5 AMD EXPO RAM is specifically designed to operate in AMD Ryzen systems and offers ideal performance and stability. However, they can also be used in Intel systems.

DDR5

DDR5 is the fifth generation of RAM memory technology for computers. It replaces DDR4 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 3200MT/s to 12600MT/s, latency (CAS Latency) from CL 28 to CL 48, while its capacity has increased up to 64GB per memory module.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for latency (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.

The Vengeance provides a speed of 6000MT/s, with CL36 and 16 GB per memory module.

Compatibility

DDR5 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR5 is compatible with Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR5 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP 3.0 & EXPO

XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory without the need for manual adjustments. (XMP/ EXPO) is easily activated from the BIOS, is available on certain RAMs, and is supported by certain motherboards.

Vengeance has (EXPO  XMP 3.0) profiles with performances:

  • Speed (EXPO & XMP 3.0) : 6000 MT/s
  • CAS Latency (EXPO & XMP 3.0) : 36-36-36-76
  • Voltage (EXPO & XMP 3.0) : 1.35V

Cooling & Design

The aluminum construction material combined with the memory height of 35mm, which is an ideal size to accommodate large CPU coolers, helps to keep the memory and the entire computer at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

  • I have been using it for two months now, with a Ryzen 9700X and a 5080 (coming from a 3080 and a 10700K), and so far I have no complaints. Of course, performance drops by about 15-20% at 1440p, since Dual Channel does not work, but with RAM prices not going down, I believe that the price someone will pay, especially when coming from older hardware, is small.

  • With the 9060xt and the Ryzen 5 7600x it's a beast, honestly it doesn't lag anywhere and when prices drop you can add another 16GB for incredible speeds in dual channel. I highly recommend it for gaming

  • What one would expect from Corsair RAM, reliability. EXPO worked immediately and the memory at 6000 MT/s flies.

  • I have had the kit for half a year. Many blue screens related to memory. I will return it since it has a lifetime guarantee. I probably got a defective product.

I'm coming back to say that the kit was replaced with a new one and now everything is fine. It works perfectly at 6000 MHz. Sometimes bad luck happens and you get a product with a hardware failure...

  • Incredibly fast and efficient RAM, I use them with a 7600x and I have no complaints whatsoever. Possibly the best RAM I have ever used
