In this revised edition of the General Part of Commercial Law, efforts have been made to simplify the content of the general part of commercial law and to alleviate it from the information and references that were included in the previous edition (1999).
The work is divided into three parts and eleven chapters that include a concise overview of all issues related to the general part of commercial law.
Specifically, the first part analyzes the general theory of commercial law, where commercial activity is initially described as the subject of commercial law. The identity of commercial law, its relationship with civil law, as well as with economic science are then analyzed. Subsequently, an historical approach to commercial law and systems of commerce is attempted.
The first part concludes with the presentation of the sources of commercial law (commercial legislation, commercial customs, European Union law, self-regulation of trade, practical resolution of commercial disputes, commercial arbitration, etc.).
