Hoping initially to help with the issue of availability of extra batteries mentioned in a previous comment, I want to mention that I bought two cameras from the same store and they brought me genuine (from Kodak) spare batteries for both (about 16 euros each). In fact, they told me that the order they had made included more batteries than I had requested. I do not mention the store because the purpose is to talk about the product and not to advertise the store; however, if you call one of the stores where it is sold, they will let you know if they have or can order batteries.
As for the image quality in general photography scenarios, it is what one would expect from a compact camera of this category: Good. If you already have a smartphone that takes very good photos, this is not the camera you would prefer to see better images, and it certainly does not outperform a DSLR/mirrorless or an expensive premium compact camera. For reference, I am including two images, as well as two enlarged sections of them to give you an idea. Also note that with the use of the flash it has, you can take decent photos in indoor spaces.
Now, regarding its performance in underwater conditions, the camera worked flawlessly in the sea and seems to withstand well. On a day at the sea, the battery completed the task: over 160 photos were taken and the battery is still full. I am uploading a file from an underwater shot.
Update 4/2/2024: The camera has been submerged several times in the sea and has suffered absolutely nothing, and the battery life is completely satisfactory. I recommend avoiding zooming underwater, as the lighting conditions, the shutter speeds required in these conditions, and the difficulty of keeping the camera steady will give you shaky photos. Prefer wide-angle frames.
Update 10/8/2024: I am still satisfied with the durability of the camera. A few words about cleaning it after submersion in seawater: after rinsing it a bit under the tap, I then spray it with a descaling cleaning liquid (e.g., Viakal). This is because the salts do not come off easily with simple rinsing and tend to accumulate and leave solid residues around the lens. After a few minutes, I rinse it again and let it dry. I don’t know if all this is the proper way to clean it. For me, it is working just fine so far.
Update 1/4/2025: The camera also has a time-lapse function, which I recently had the opportunity to try. The existence of waterproofing makes it excellent for this purpose because you can "forget" it on the tripod for as long as you want regardless of weather conditions.
