Chrysanthopoulos, Fotios or Fotakos (1798-1878). A fighter of 1821, aide-de-camp to Th. Kolokotronis and memoir writer. His father was the priest Papa-Yiannakis, which is why his brothers were named Papagiannakopouloi.

He was born in Magoulinana, Gortynia. At the time when the Friendly Society was strengthening, he was in Russia as a commercial employee. He was initiated into the Society and went to Langadia, Gortynia to meet Kanellos Deliyannis.

At the outbreak of the Revolution, he was outside Tripoli with Deliyannis. Kolokotronis appointed him as the first captain of the company that he initially established in the village of Piana in Tripoli. In the years of Kapodistrias, he was a major, and during the time of Otto, he was appointed as a forest director.

His Memoirs are a valuable historical source because, as Kolokotronis' aide-de-camp, he had the opportunity to know people and events. He also wrote the Life of Papaflessas and the Lives of Peloponnesian men.
