The Snugpak Journey Solo tent is designed to first set up the interior of the tent and then apply the shell. It has one door. It is made with a durable floor, but an additional floor is provided in its packaging to keep your tent clean. Its packaging is extremely compact and the tent weighs just 2 kilograms along with all its equipment. With 4000mm waterproofing, it will protect you from heavy and prolonged rain. During the summer months, you can use the interior of the tent alone, which will protect you from mosquitoes and other insects.

What does the waterproof rating indicate in camping tents?

The waterproofing in a tent shows us how much water its exterior fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of vertical water column (and therefore pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.

The higher the degree of waterproofing, the less breathable the fabric is and therefore the warmer the tent. The widely used values for waterproofing range from 500mm to 10000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent can have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.
