Compared to avene, I can say it was more "refreshing" but didn't spread as well as the other. (I had both in the fridge for better results). Even when I lightly burned in the sun, I applied it to the area and it "calmed" the situation. In terms of redness, etc. on the face, I didn't see any difference but I wouldn't say no to buying it again. I believe every home should have it!
